A Note from Dennis

Dear Friends,

I am not a doctor so I can’t comment on a personal level to questions specific to an individual’s health issue. I am offering these webinars as a way to understand general tendencies that are universal in living organisms. The universal patterns of sensations that promote secretions go across all categories of living things. Specific questions about details of organic chemistry are too complex for me to answer and should be referred to naturopaths and nutritionists. My intent is to awaken the thought in others that they can help themselves with chronic inflammation by regulating the rhythms of daily life with regard to eating, sleeping and exercise.

I recommend that the following books can provide a good entry into understanding physiology from an esoteric point of view. A basic understanding of large rhythms of physiological patterns is just the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of pain-free living. The following publications can provide that basic understanding.

Good digestion requires a balance between the ability of the body to break down food and the ability of the blood to interact with cellular metabolism. The balance is maintained by the sensations in the nervous system that regulate hormonal and enzymatic digestive processes.

A three-part series by Dennis Klocek explores this relationship from the point of view of temperamental patterns in the life organs, the digestive organs and the qualitative influence of the daily sense activity on overall health.

Part 1

The first session will survey the liver, lung, kidney and heart in the context of the four temperaments of cold, moist, hot and dry. The focus will be on polarities in water soluble digestive processes in human nutrition.

Part 2

The second session addresses the relationships between beneficial “gut buddies” and pathogens from the point of view of the mandala of the four temperaments. The focus will be on ENDO- and EXO-sense experience and how that affects chronic illnesses.

Part 3

The third session will explore inner exercises based on a seasonal mandala of the four temperaments. Understanding seasons provides insight into the diurnal digestive rhythms of the liver. Imaginations of earth and sun rhythms can be used to create seasonal harvest and processing schedules. They also provide blueprints for crafting digestive aids that can be made in the kitchen from plants.

I, once again, was struck by the capacity of the mandala to illustrate or elucidate the dynamic interplay between elements and temperaments. I appreciate how Dennis is always focused on helping me to strive to create imaginative understanding of the processes underlying the formulas. I sometimes feel as though I am grasping at the edges of understanding, much like trying to grasp the edges of a wisp of smoke or vapor – good luck with that.
