Description

This keynote address given in 2012 at Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, CA begins with a survey of the hierarchy of human consciousness as seen in Plato and Aristotle.

The theme is then advanced to the Gnostic imagination of the fall of the Pistis Sophia as an archetype of contemporary consciousness. The role of meditation and spiritual technique is then illustrated as a healing of this fall of the Sophia.

Contemporary myths of zero point field and entropic force are linked to the imaginations behind devices that mimic esoteric capacities. These concepts are then compared to contemporary neurological discoveries regarding learning difficulties and the limbic structures in the brain.

A new myth is then presented with the role of the Christ being interacting with the Guardian of the threshold to release the Sophia being from the prison of a materialistic worldview.
